2023 Back to School Community Fair

Providing familes with services and supplies!

Los Angeles, CA (July 31, 2023) – Four local non-profit organizations are teaming up to host the 2023 Back to School Community Fair on Saturday, August 19th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 9300 S Crenshaw Blvd in Inglewood. The event is free and open to the public.

The Back to School Community Fair will provide families with backpacks, school supplies, health and vision screenings, groceries, and more. There will also be African dancers,  DJs from courtesey of Infisoundz Production, and food trucks including:

The participating non-profit organizations are Ashe Arts & STEM, Pulse Arts, Teach One Reach One, and Trinity Lutheran Childcare Center. They are joined by CVS Project Health, Aetna, Inglewood Champion, America’s Best, Schnierow Dental Care, Raising Cane’s, and Chick-fil-a.

“We are excited to partner with these organizations to provide a much-needed resource for families in our community,” said Kimberly Pierce, Board Member at Ashe Arts & STEM. “We know that back to school can be a stressful time for families, and we want to make sure that everyone has what they need to succeed.”

The food trucks at the event will not be free, but the food will be reasonably priced. The fair is also looking for volunteers to help with set up, tear down, and activities. You may signup to help at Volunteer Match.
